July 2 and 16: Derby Pavement Stars. Andy Timms will give a presentation about the Derby about the most famous people of Derby that have been celebrated with a ‘Made in Derby’ star on our city pavements

August 6 Labour of Love: Elaine Pritchard will talk about George Orton and Charles Spooner from Burton who designed and built wonderful world renowned fairground rides,

August 20 North Coast 500: Geoff Bounds will share his experience of travelling the North Coast 500 earlier this year. This is a route of stunning coastal scenery in Scotland.

September 3: Memories are made of this: An opportunity to bring an item from home that holds special memories for you.

September 17: Shipping Forecast: Vanessa Tissington will present the story of the incident that inspired the creation of the Shipping Areas and the century of the Shipping Forecast that we are so familiar with.

October 1: Wild Rabbits: Andy Timms presentation about the joys and problems with wild rabbits

October 15: Victorian Derby: Jonathan Grattidge will give a talk about Victorian Derby particularly in the West End area.

November 5: The history of Cinemas in Derby

November 19: British Columbia: Sue Swain will be talking about the beautiful Canadian province of British Columbia

December 3: 7.30 Salvation Army: Christmas Carol Service

December 17: Christmas Dinner at the Toby 1.00

Midweek at Two meet at Wilsthorpe Road Evangelical Church on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Each meeting will include a talk on the chosen subject, quiz of the week and thought for the day and refreshment. We hope you will be able to join us.
